For many people living abroad, buying land back home represents years of hard work, sacrifice and a commitment to the future.
But distance can make it difficult to know who to trust, what to verify, and whether a property is what it appears to be.
PlotVerify exists to close that information gap.
Our Story
It started with a plot that wasn’t what it seemed.
In 2025, I was buying a plot in Kira, Wakiso, from Toronto. On paper, the deal looked straightforward. Before sending any money, I checked the documents myself, and found irregularities in the seller’s paperwork that could have cost me both the land and my savings.
I was fortunate. I knew what to look for and who to ask. Most people buying from abroad don’t. They rely on a relative, an agent or the seller’s word, and too many only find out when it’s too late.
PlotVerify exists so that no one has to buy land back home on trust alone.
